When I bought my first home, I was captivated by the entire process. I knew I wanted to become a REALTOR®, but timing was everything.
My parents instilled a service mentality in me, which has been a driving force in my life.
Along with my passion for helping others, I’ve always loved sports. My mom, a dance teacher, got me into dancing at age 4, and I performed and competed all through high school. At the same time, I played basketball, baseball, football, and ran track.
Back in my day, very few boys danced—it wasn’t exactly a popular choice. Other kids picked on me for it, but at the same time, I was winning Athlete of the Year and running track in college. That contrast—being teased for dancing yet excelling in sports—taught me not to let other people’s opinions of me define me. Dance gave me confidence, flexibility, and coordination. If others didn’t see the value in it, that wasn’t my problem.
I studied kinesiology in college, planning to either become a professional athlete or help others with their athletic performance. After graduating, I took a job working the front desk at a casino while also training clients at a gym. I never expected to stay in the casino and hospitality industry for long, but I ended up spending 18 years there. That’s where I really honed my people skills and customer service—learning to go above and beyond to create an outstanding experience.
One day, while at work, I saw Jenn walking across the casino floor. She worked there too, and we immediately connected over our shared love for fitness. That connection turned into marriage, a home, and eventually, 3 amazing kids—Kendall, Matthew, and Maxwell.
When we bought our first home together, I was fascinated by the real estate process. I seriously considered becoming a REALTOR®, but with a growing family, jumping into a career with unpredictable income didn’t seem like the best idea.
Then COVID hit. The hotel and casino shut down, and I started delivering packages for Amazon to keep money coming in while figuring out my next move. If there was ever a time to finally get my real estate license, this was it. Around the same time, a friend asked me to help manage a casino he was opening, so for a while, I balanced 2 careers—casino manager by night, real estate agent by day.
It was a crazy time. I was constantly working and rarely home, but Jenn was incredible—taking care of the kids, managing the house, and supporting me through it all. We both made sacrifices and carefully planned our finances so I could eventually transition into real estate full-time. Finally, in 2023, I took the leap. It was nerve-wracking but exciting to watch my business grow.
Looking back, everything I’ve done has led me to this career. The values my parents taught me, the customer service skills I developed in hospitality, and the discipline I learned from sports all shape how I approach real estate.
Now that I’m a full time REALTOR®, I also have more time for the things that matter most. Jenn is my best friend—we still exercise together and make time for date nights. My oldest daughter is 22 and finishing college, while my youngest is 11. As a family, we go bowling, hiking, and spend as much time together as we can.
I’m beyond grateful for the journey, my family, and the fact that I get to serve both my clients and my loved ones through my work as a REALTOR®.
I love changing lives through my work and believe God put me here to help others. My mission is to guide clients toward their dreams while delivering an exceptional, feel-good experience. A home provides stability for both adults and children—kids thrive when their parents own a home. I take that responsibility seriously, helping families find security.
I work with people from all walks of life, including those facing challenges. No matter the situation, we’ll find solutions together, and I’ll be there to support you every step of the way. I’m highly accessible, always answering calls, returning messages promptly, and staying actively involved throughout the process.
For sellers, I ensure homes are staged and presented to attract buyers. For buyers, I help find a home that fits their needs and lifestyle. I’m always striving to improve, with the goal of providing outstanding service while making a real difference in my clients’ lives.
Sincerely,
William Ramos-Ruggero
